'Dancing Pool' was the 2016 UK Songwriting Contest World Music winner - Yaw Derkyi (pronounced Yow Derchie) is from Ghana in West Africa and he performs with his traditional drumming, dancing, singing and chanting group 'Karifi' including his daughters Aba, Kakraa and Panyin. He also performs with other World music ensembles including 'Worlds Collide' and he also writes his own material. Sam Derchie (original name Derkyi) is a brilliant respected bandleader, singer/songwriter and keyboardist from Ghana. He performed with the famous Ghanaian band, 'The African Brothers' and when he came to Australia he set up the bands, 'Kalabash' and 'Klub Hilife' to amaze crowds with their hilife groove. He continues to perform his wonderful Ananse Stories show across Australia. 'Nsubeto' is a plaintive hilife song about being aware of the signs of the storm.
